A Black History Month Celebration
'For Whom the Bell Tolls'

Sunday, February 24, 2008 • 4:00 pm

Location: Duarte Performing Arts Center
C elebrate Black History Month with this musical comedy/drama set in the 1950's.
This play centers around a flamboyant, self ordained minister who, along with
his long lost sister, return to Virginia to reclaim an old barn they want to restore
into a church. The play touches religious hypocrisy, racial bigotry, civil rights issues,
and the changing southern society backed by forced integration. Also featured
will be the Second Baptist Church, Inc. Mass Gospel Choir, directed by B. Tirrell Dillard.
Guests will also be treated to a Black Art exhibit of pen & ink illustrations by Disney Artist Ron Husband of Ron's World.
